Almost hardly swollen anymore!

Day 9 ouch

Oooooh I might have smiled too much last night. My mouth is feeling all cut up and rashy. Ouch. I want to believe that its not my latex allergy rearing its ugly head. Cause the surgeon said, if I can't wear elastics its going to extend my braces time by a looooooot. And, being 23, almost 24, and wantin to get-outta-dodge here, thats the last thing I want.
it feels all lumpy and gross in my mouth, like over exertion, or allergy, but allergy generally goes away overnight and has an icky tingling. And it took waaaay too long to react.
Well anyway, I'm gpnna try to solve both scenarios and swish some benadryl but also stay quiet today :p

My biggest problem is looking like a drooly baby when I eat. This is what im wearing when I eat so I dont have to change clothes. Shorts or no pants cause they will get spilt on or a towel on my lap. Boyfriend's old tshirt. Some dishcloth, hanky, or bib around my.neck so dripa dont go down my shirt.
I'm just about sick of pb milkshakes. Really good but I'm sick of spilling peanut butter spills every where.

Also got cute proper bib fabric. If I don't use it, it'll make a cute bebe bib. I am crafty.

Day 5

Still.having troublr getting.the goo off my face. My cheeks are pretty sensitive and we ran out.of the heavy duty painkillers. Had a bit of congestion, tho I didnt recognize it as that. Hot water helped, putting my head over top. I had a few too many visitors and experienced.a lot of nausea I think from going cold turkey on the painkillers. So I'm pretty pooped and exhausted now and its only 6pm, and I only got up at noon ish. Still, I got dressed and had a quick shower today. Like dressed enough to go out even. So thats good.

Day 3 late evening

The boyfriend helped me take off my bandages. (he is amaaaaaazing!)
I am so itchy and twitchy and weird feeling now tho about my exposed cheeks. It took soo long to get off the bandages, so suspenseful!  and they are still sticky.
And I look super cute, but I also have cheeks to compete with my friend's cute baby.
Cuuuute.

Haha ok, I am thinking smiling thoughts.
My momma and boyfriend are taking care of me today, and it is just so good to be back.in.my own bed. The ferry ride over sucked, and was so bouncy. I still want ice on my face, I think. And I wish I made more sense to post more useful stuff. But, I can talk a lil, and haha. Well ive tired myself out doing that.
Ive got a lot of pinchy feelings, but as far as I can tell thats just the swelling. Ttfn.

I love nuked jello

I cant manage much more than juice and broth, so de jelled jello is amazing. Adds a lil more to my tummy cause the gelatin. I feel like im almost actually eating something!

I can't wait for real food

Ice pack break. I look like a sad old man today. One thing I didn't think of. We weren't preped with ice gel packs. Shoulda bought and froze last night so im sittong here with coolish packs instead of frozrn ones..

Omg. I love these burgers. I was being appreciative of how wide I can open my mouth right now, and how good a burger tastes. Nom nom nom. With zucchini fries. In my experience, burgers are very hard to blend satisfactorly.
Not really hungry tonight. Not much appetite, but I still ate it all. Nom nom

Ive got all my easy serve bottles ready to go. Wondering if I have enough. Got a new smoothie mix to try out too :)
Did you know costco doesnt stock any meal replacement beverages? No Ensure, no Boost, nada ! :s I was hoping on getting a good deal. Walmart is still the best price running for ensure. Like $10.98 CDN before tax? Something like that.

Anywho, I hope this blog is a great resource for anyone who comes.across it. Ive made an excellent soft food menu that stands the test of my allergies even! I laminated it.

EDIT: that vega smoothie mix, is literally the nastiest sh*t ever. Like its bitter and just UGH. Gross.

Leaving in the morning. All ready for our 4 ish day trip. Soo much stuff to bring because we are going to vancouver. But hopefully all the prep will be worth it and I'll be as comfortable as possible.
